On Saturday the 12th of April the Broadwell Flower Show committee held their annual Spring Flower Show. Despite it being the start of the school Easter holidays, meaning several families had gone on holiday, there were a good number of friends and neighbours turn up to support the show with plenty of entries in most of the classes.
The spring flowers were especially good this year, with many fantastic top class entries.
There was also a collection of excellent rhubarb exhibits and a good selection of swiss rolls and lemon drizzle cakes. In the picture below we can see two of our residents deciding on which of the cakes may be the likely winners!
It was also a very poignant occasion as Pat Toole, a long time member of the Broadwell Flower Show Committee, had sadly died a few weeks before the show. Pat had always run the auction of produce at the end of each show and for the first time in many decades his familiar voice and humorous quips were no longer with us. You will always be remembered with great love and fondness Pat. In memory of Patrick James Toole, 15th December 1935 - 2nd March 2025

On the 31st of March Warwickshire Police, Rugby Rural Central Team, held an event in the Broadwell Victory Hall to offer advice and support to the local community.

A steady stream of people from in and around Broadwell attended, many of them having been victims of theft and burglary from their properties, outbuildings and farms.
